Edward James Mason, 82, recently of Whiting and previously of South Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. He was a shipyard carpenter, building yachts for many years, and was known for being able to fix anything. Born in Atlantic City, he resided in South Jersey his whole life, coming to Whiting in 2005.
“Jim” is predeceased by his siblings, Elijah, Blanche, & Robert. Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Margaret O’Connell Mason, his son Edward J. Mason, Jr., and his daughter Gina Marie Mason, Kevin O’Connell his wife Alissa Marie; Sean O’Connell & his wife Sheri; Brendon O’Connell; Mary Margaret Pelkey and her husband Gary; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
