He worked for Johns Manville Corp., Manville, NJ for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He was a US Navy Veteran having served during WW II. He was a life long member of the VFW. John loved to joke and “kid around”. He was a wonderful husband & father. Born in Charlton, MA. He resided in Manville for most of his life, moving to Whiting in 2002.
He is predeceased by his son, the late Kenneth Payne in 2013. John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sara nee Puia Payne, and his daughter, Kathleen Suckoe of Middlesex. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan, Rebecca, and Michael, and a great granddaughter, Rylie Rose.
Interment of Ashes with Military Honors will be 12:30pm Wednesday, April 22 at the BrigGenWmCDoyle NJVeteransCemetery, Wrightstown. Arrangements are by Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759
