Born and raised in Jersey City, Jack was proud of his military service with the United States Air Force. He then met his bride of 60 years Dorothy and they raised two daughters. After thirty years with the New York Stock Exchange Jack retired to Whiting where he enjoyed spending time with his wife, his furbabies and his daughter Laura and her family.
Jack was strong willed, but he also had a generous and kind heart. Blessed with the gift of conversation, he never met a stranger
In recent years Jack suffered multiple health challenges. Each time he bounced back with resilience and determination but it was time to be welcomed home to Heaven to reunite with his parents John and Christine Videtti, his uncle Peter Wasylczak who was more like an older brother, and his beloved son-in-law Daniel Gaskill.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, also left to cherish his memory are his daughters Laura Videtti and Kathleen Wright (Robert) and grandson Sean Wright. Jack will also be fondly remembered by his sister in law Evelyn Hassay, nephews Brian and John and many, many friends.
John will also be deeply missed by the wonderful caregiving staff and residents of Crestwood Manor where he resided these last years and was affectionately known as the mayor. The family expresses the deepest gratitude to Crestwood for their care of John with love and dignity.
Friends may call on Monday, November 20 from 10am -12pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home 115 Lacey Rd Whiting. Services will begin at 12. Committal to include Military Honors will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Rd. Toms River.
