Judith Ann Bellemore, 81, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., passed away peacefully Friday, March 2, 2018 at Crestwood Manor surrounded by family. She was a teacher of second grade for 3 years in Woodbridge, Connecticut; taught 9 years of second grade in Princeton, NJ and 12 years as a substitute teacher for a total of 24 years of teaching in Princeton Regional Schools. She was a member of the Advisory Council of Pre-school Children's Center at Princeton High School; a member of the League of Women Voters; the Cedar Crest Alumnae Association and was an organizational leader for the Brownies and Junior Girl Scouts of Princeton, NJ. She was a Sunday school teacher for Nursery School and Grades 5 & 6. She received a Certificate of Achievement from the Girl Scouts of America. Judith was an avid piano player and gave many piano concerts receiving many awards. She received her education from Southern Connecticut State College and also attended Cedar Crest College for 3 years studying Early Childhood Education and Psychology earning her B.S.
Born in Irvington, NJ, she resided in Ewing, Princeton and New Haven, CT before moving to Whiting 18 years ago.
Judith is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. David S. Bellemore; one daughter, Kellie Stapperfenne and 2 grandchildren; Crystal Samuel and her husband Daniel and David Stapperfenne and 2 great grandchildren; Avery and David Samuel.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 6th. from 4pm - 6pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759. Services will be on Wednesday 10:00am at the funeral home.
