Karen’s life began in the heart of Boston, where she was born to Bernadette Gatti and Arturo “Leo” Gatti. She grew up surrounded by a large and vibrant family that shaped her early years and remained central throughout her life. Her journey through life was marked by resilience, devotion to family, and enduring strength.
Karen was the proud mother of three children: David Gatti, Paul Luisi, and Sarah Luisi. Her love for her children was unwavering and deeply rooted in everything she did. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to Mia Luisi, Erick Luisi, and Gianni Luisi, finding joy in their presence and pride in their accomplishments.
She shared a close bond with her sisters Liz Stolazzi and Gayle Goldstein, who survive her. Karen also held dear the memories of her siblings who preceded her in death: Gina Gatti, Ellen Gatti, David Gatti, and Kevin Gatti. The legacy of their shared experiences remained an important part of Karen’s story.
Throughout her life, Karen carried forward the values instilled by her parents—Bernadette and Arturo—whose guidance left a lasting imprint on her character. Their memory lived on through Karen’s dedication to family and the traditions she upheld.
Karen’s passing leaves a profound absence in the lives of those who knew her. Her memory will be honored by all who were touched by her presence.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
