Karen was born and raised in Jersey City NJ, where she met her husband Roland Mellen. They married and moved to Toms River to raise their family. She was a devoted wife, mother of 3, grandmother and friend. Karen was a lover of animals and life.
Karen was predeceased by her devoted husband the late Roland Mellen. She was also predeceased by her sister, and her parents. She is survived by her 3 children Christine Sloan and her husband Butch, Brian Mellen, Lauren Mellen, 5 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
