Katherine M. Lutz-Toensmann, 96 of Whiting, NJ passed away on February 14, 2015. She was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Rahway before moving to Whiting 36 years ago. She worked as a Terminal Operator for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in Newark, NJ for 17 years before retiring in 1976.
Katherine is predeceased by her husbands, Henry Lutz (1985) and Frederick Toensmann (1992). Surviving are a son, Kenneth (Rosemarie) Lutz; a daughter, Katherine McCarthy; and three grandchildren, Denise (Scott) Miller, Kenny (Melissa) Lutz and Randy Lutz; five great-grandchildren, Connor, Christopher, Dylan, Derek Miller and Joseph Lutz; and a sister, Susanne (George) Fischbeck.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 20, 2015 from 3 - 7pm with a funeral service at 7pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759. Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:30am at Whiting Memorial Park Cemetery, 600 Route 530, Whiting, NJ 08759.
