Lillian Joan Albamonte

Lillian J. Albamonte, 78, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Complete Care in Whiting. Lillian was born and raised in Paterson, NJ. She met her husband, Frank, when a friend suggested she get her hair done at the Hackensack School of Beauty where he was training. They fell in love and married in 1967, starting a family in Paterson before moving to Seaside Heights in 1976. In 1985, Lillian and Frank moved to a beautiful home in Ortley Beach and lived a long, happy life there until Hurricane Sandy destroyed it in 2012. Shortly after coping with the devastation, they settled down in Whiting.

Lillian was a postal mail carrier in Seaside Heights for 33 years, retiring in 2005. She was a loving, compassionate woman who cared deeply for her many cats. She will be dearly missed.

Lillian is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank Albamonte; her son, Frank J. Albamonte, Jr.; and her 2 sisters, Susan Jarvis and Barbie Jarvis.

A Gathering of Friends & Family will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 11am to 12pm at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:30pm at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. To post a tribute, please visit www.andersoncampbellwhiting.com.
