Lillian Jane Whitecraft

Lillian Jane (nee McGary) Whitecraft, 86, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Chandler Hall Nursing Home in Newtown, PA. Lillian was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Dolington, PA, Yardley, PA and Lawrenceville, NJ before moving to Whiting 22 years ago.

Lillian enjoyed traveling, camping with her family, playing cards and board games. She worked at RCA for more than 20 years, where she specialized in the use of the comptometer, the first commercially successful mechanical calculator, and performed the accounting for the Charcoal Steak House before retiring. She was a member of the Lakehurst United Methodist Church in Lakehurst, NJ. She was known for her kind smile and generous heart.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband of 31 years, Charles Whitecraft, parents, Harold and Elizabeth McGary and step-son, Charles J. Whitecraft. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Carr, Whiting, NJ; step-daughter, Marion Ferrogine and her husband, Joseph, Ewing, NJ; step-daughter, Brenda Schumm, Mercerville, NJ; 2 brothers, Warren McGary and his wife Dorine and Robert McGary and his wife Elaine; 9 grandchildren, Ronda Manganiello, Michelle Carr, Brandon Carr, Christopher Ferrogine, Elisa Ferrogine, Rebecca Schumm, Marc Schumm, Martina Thomason and Lavern Whitecraft; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation was private. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00am at the Lakehurst United Methodist Church, 204 Elm St., Lakehurst, NJ. Committal will follow at the Whiting Memorial Park Cemetery, 600 County Rd #530, Whiting, NJ. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ is in charge of arrangements.
