Margaret O'Connell Mason

Legacy

She was born in Manhattan Hospital on April 4, 1945. She was raised in Bronx, New York, where she met her husband Frank. Margaret worked at Metropolitan Life for 4 years as a stenographer before leaving her career to raise her family. They moved to South Amboy, NJ in 1976. Margaret worked there for the city as a crossing guard for 22 yrs before retiring to the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., in 2007.

Family

Margaret is Predeceased by her parents Michael and Lillian Smith Lambe, siblings Julia Faiella, Mary Hudson and John Lambe. She is also predeceased by her husband of 41 years Michael Francis O'Connell as well as her 2nd husband James Edward Mason. She is survived by her children Kevin O'Connell and his wife Alissa, Sean O'Connell and his wife Sheri, Brendan O'Connell, Mary Margaret Pelkey and her husband Gary. Margaret is also survived by her grandchildren Kieran, Giavonna, Kristopher, Katelyn, Nicole,Trevor, Aidan, Gavin, Vaughn and her great grandchildren Leland, Josephine and Parker. Also surviving are Margaret's lifelong best friend Mary Costello, her sister in law Dorothy, her brother in law Dominic O'Connell and his wife Nancy, a sister in law Terry O'Connell, Lorraine O’Connell and Eileen O'Connell and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and friends.
