Margaret Gallagher O'Hara

Margaret Ann O’Hara, 76 of Whiting, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was a homemaker who loved her family very much. Born and raised in Middletown, Derry Beg, County Donnegal, Ireland, she came to the U.S. in 1958 and became a U.S.Citizen in 1964. She settled in Brooklyn where she met her beloved husband James of 52 years. She spent her life raising and caring for her 8 children.

She is survived by her husband James, a son James & his wife Jackie and 7 daughters, Margaret & her husband Patrick, Dorie & her husband Brian, Carol & her husband Dan, Kathleen, Mary, Maureen & her husband Mike and Deirdre & her husband Chris. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was one of six sisters; Kathleen, Birdie, Gracie, Sarah and Mary.

Friends may call on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4-8pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Tuesday, February 7 at 10:45am from the All Saints Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting. Committal will be private.
