Marilyn "Chickie" Fullem (née Lauerman) was born in Hoboken, NJ, the youngest of four children. Her family moved to Elizabeth, NJ when she was four years old, and she grew up in the Elmora section. She attended St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Grammar and High School, where she graduated with honors as the Salutatorian of the Class of 1949.
In 1950, she married William Fullem, and together they raised their family of four in Hazlet, NJ. Chickie worked for the Bendix Corporation in Holmdel and later for the New Jersey Department of Labor in the Unemployment Division in Red Bank. She eventually moved on to the Garden State Parkway, where she retired after 21 years of service in the Finance Department.
Chickie enjoyed her retirement to the fullest, traveling with Bill and especially loving cruise ship journeys. They split their time between Florida and New Jersey.
She is survived by her children: Lyn Stewart and her husband Gary Stewart, William R. Fullem II, Denise Dill and her husband Christopher Dill, and Daniel Fullem and his wife Wendy Fullem. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Bill, after 63 years of marriage, and by her grandsons Daniel Dill and William Fullem III.
