Mary Ann Hartong

Mary A. Hartong, 88, passed away on Tuesday August 9, 2011 – at the Southern County Ocean Hospital. Mary was born in Perth Amboy and resided most of her life in Fords, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2002. Mary enjoyed to travel, and was very passionate about her needle work. Mary was also a member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. She is predeceased by her brother John Kerly and sister Kate Lestuck. Mary is survived by her husband of 69 years, Norman J. Hartong of Whiting, a son Norman R. Hartong and his wife Diane A. also of Whiting, a grandson James Hartong of Tuckerton, a sister Rose Coanshock of Toms River, a brother Edward Kerly of Bradenton, FL. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home – 115 Lacey Rd – Whiting on Monday August 15th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 16th at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Chapel. Interment to follow at the Brig. General William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
