

May Rose was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Spohn. They both grew up in New York City and were married in 1942. They moved to River Edge, NJ in 1950 to raise their family. They spent their retirement years at Crestwood Village in Whiting, NJ where Fred passed away in December 1998.
May dedicated herself to raising her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, singing, dancing, playing cards and visiting with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons Ralph (Marina) of Williamsburg, VA, Richard (Ellen) of Montvale, NJ and Ronald (Mary) of Getzville, NY, as well as seven grandchildren (Bryan (Michele), Amy Watts (David), Michael, Catherine, Mary Ellen, Holly and Abigail), and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters (Frances Keenan, Margaret Lutter and Rita Kerner) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held for May at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home in Whiting, NJ on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 9:30 am, followed by interment (with her husband) at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, in Wrightstown, NJ.
