Peter J Scullion

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Peter built his life on faith, family, and hard work. He later moved his family to the Poconos where they built a home filled with lasting memories before making a home in New Jeresey where Peter continued to build a life centered around the people he loved most.

Peter was a devoted husband and father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, whether sharing a meal, cheering on his favorite football team, or enjoying one of his favorite episodes of the original Star Trek. He found great happiness in bowling, baseball, and travel, creating lasting memories and friendships through the many leagues, teams, and journeys that filled his life.

Throughout his career as an insurance underwriter, Peter approached his work with dedication and integrity. More importantly, he lived by the values he believed in. He taught his family to work hard, to take pride in everything they did, to support one another through life's challenges, and to always treat others with fairness, kindness, and respect.

Peter's deep faith in God was the foundation of his life. While living in the Poconos, he faithfully served his parish as a Eucharistic Minister, a role that reflected his commitment to serving both his church and his community. His faith guided his decisions, strengthened him through life's joys and challenges, and served as an example to all who knew him. His quiet strength, unwavering love for his family, and generous spirit touched the lives of many and will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him.

His greatest legacy was not what he accomplished but his family, the faith he lived, and the values he passed on to those who knew him. Those lessons will continue to guide his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Peter leaves behind his beloved wife, Patricia; his three children, Maureen (Keith), Patrick, and Kevin (Heather); his five cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Dean, Dylan, Benjamin, and Abby; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

While our hearts are saddened by his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Though he will be greatly missed, his love, faith, wisdom, and gentle example will remain with us always.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 8 from 8:30 to 10:15am at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd Whiting, Manchester, NJ 08759. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:30 am from the All Saints Chapel at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church , 30 Schoolhouse Rd Whiting, NJ 08759. Committal will Be private.
