

Ronald J. Paluzzi, 84, of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Ronald, better known by his family and friends as Ronnie, was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Newark and East Orange, NJ. He graduated from Clifford J. Scott High School in East Orange. In 1963, Ronnie married the girl next door and his best friend, Mildred Cooper, whom he met when she was just 11.
Ronnie worked for over 35 years with Delco Battery, a Division of General Motors, as their Quality Controller for the East Coast. He loved cars and was Past President for the Woodbridge Corvette Club. He was also an avid CB radio operator and worked with the South River Police Department as part of one of the first Community Watch programs. After retirement, Ronnie was a dedicated trustee for Crestwood Village 6 in Whiting for over 10 years.
Ronnie will be dearly missed, but now it's his turn to "have a seat and rest a while".
Ronnie was predeceased by his parents, Eugene & Marion Paluzzi; and his brother, Eugene. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mildred (Cooper) Paluzzi; his daughter, Lauren Paluzzi of Clermont, FL; and his granddaughter, Amber.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:45AM at The All Saints Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church 30 Schoolhouse Rd. in Whiting, NJ.
