Alfredo Chapa

Alfredo Chapa, Sr. of Wichita Falls, Texas at died at the age of 80 years old on March 18, 2023 at home with his family present. Alfredo was born on January 4, 1943 in Tornillo, Texas, son of Bruce and Socorro Chapa.
Alfredo served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of foreign war. He worked for Lone Star Gas Company when he returned from service. While working for the gas company, Alfredo established Mr. G’s Sewerooter in 1976. Additionally, he started Mr. G’s Self-Storage and invested in real estate. Alfredo had many interests and hobbies including bowling, traveling and spending time with his friends and family. He was a faithful member of Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church from his childhood to his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Raymond Chapa, Gilbert Chapa, Roger Chapa, and Felix Chapa, all four of Wichita Falls, TX; and Geneva Branham of Livingston and Tillie Casteno of Fort Worth, TX.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Irene Chapa and sister Mary Louise Nino of Fort Worth and his children, Alfredo Chapa, Jr. of Wichita Falls; Arlene Menchaca and her husband Eugene of Keller, TX; Gregory Chapa and his wife Angelina of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren: Teresa Ayala, Sabrina Chapa, Joseph Menchaca, Benjamin Chapa, Christopher Menchaca, Roman Menchaca, Gabriella Menchaca, and Maximilian Chapa.
A vigil service will be held at 6:00PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, March 24, 2023 and Alfredo will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery immediately following the service.
