Benny Charles Sinclair

Benny C. Sinclair, 77, of Wichita Falls died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his home. Services have been scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Chaplain Paul Meyenberg. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Benny was born March 23, 1934 in Collinsville, TX to Alfred Benjamin and Leona (Tipton) Sinclair. His family moved to Wichita Falls in 1947. He married Joy Moore August 3, 1954 in Wichita Falls and together they raised three children. He spent many years as an auto mechanic and then as a purchasing agent for B.W. Sinclair, Inc. where he retired. He loved to bowl and even bowled in numerous tournaments. He built a crappie house which was placed on Possum Kingdom Lake that his family enjoyed many weekends from 1969-1976.

Mr. Sinclair is preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Leona Sinclair; and granddaughter, Amanda Holzer.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Joy L. Sinclair; three devoted children, Jerry Wayne and wife Carla Sinclair of Wichita Falls, Danny Lee Sinclair and fiancé Marilee Hartman of Austin, TX, Elaine and husband Lynn Holzer of Wichita Falls; sister, Joann Roberson of Arlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Carole Sinclair of Wichita Falls, Jerry Neal Sinclair of Houston, TX, Don and Mellody Sinclair of Irving, TX; nine grandchildren, Randi, Brady, Bryce, Shannon, Daena, Sean, Jessica, Debra, Joey; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
