Bessie Louise Johnson

Bessie Louise (Bess) Johnson, 87, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Kile Bateman, Evangel Temple officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.

Bessie was born October 27, 1932 in Dye-mound, Texas to Bill and Hazel (Lumley) Bess. She married Paul Johnson and was married 36 years. Bessie retired from the North Texas State Hospital in 1993 after 32 years of service. She loved playing games, going to the casino, and spending time with her family.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother L.B. Bess and sister, Lorene Paul.

Surviving relatives include her sons, Bill Johnson, Robert Johnson and wife, Karen; Rodger Johnson; and Michael Johnson and wife, Tina; all of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren, Hillary Johnson, Billy Shane Johnson, Alan Johnson and wife, Erin, Joshua Johnson and wife, Yolanda, and Lindsey Johnson; seven great grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Emily Alexander, Joshua Johnson, Carlos Johnson, Mackenzie Miller, Lucas Johnson, and Ethan Miller.
