Betty Theresa Crick, lovingly known as “Mimi,” passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on January 11, 1928, she built a life defined by devotion to family and a love that embraced everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Malcolm Crick; her daughter, Suzanne Devore; her son, Michael Crick; and her sister, Barbara Lowery. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Young, and her husband, Richard Young; her sisters, Yvonne Bodin and her husband, Henry, and Carolyn Ostrom; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her memory will also be cherished by her granddaughter Crystal Williams and her husband, Jared Williams, and their six children, Ashlyn, Katya, Grayson, Callen, Kaeden, and Savannah; and by her granddaughter Erin Detrick and her husband, Corey Detrick, and their son, Rylan.
To all who knew and loved her, Betty was simply “Mimi”, a name that reflected the warmth, comfort, and unconditional love she gave so freely. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by family. She treasured Sunday evening dinners, holidays filled with laughter, and the playful moments when she joined in the fun by wearing silly items from her great-grandchildren. Whether she was talking with those she loved, working on a puzzle, or quietly enjoying their company, Mimi had a way of making time together feel special. Though she never cared for the cold, her love for her family brought her to Colorado so she could be close to them; a loving choice that spoke to what mattered most in her life.
Mimi’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished, in the traditions and memories they shared, and in the love she placed so generously into every heart. She will be deeply missed, but her welcoming spirit, gentle presence, and steadfast devotion to family will continue to bring comfort and bind her loved ones together for generations to come.
