Beverly was born on April 1, 1940 in Dexter, Missouri to Fred and Nell Reak. She had 3 brothers, Robert Haberberger, Don Reak and Walter “Corky” Reak, and 1 sister, Norma Lott. All preceded her in death.
Her family owned and operated Reak’s Super Market in Dexter. She graduated from
Dexter High School in 1958. After graduating, she followed her oldest brother, Bob and wife Imogene, to Midland, Texas and later to Wichita Falls in 1970 where she remained the rest of her life.
Beverly met many friends over the years at various places she worked including the City of Wichita Falls, Sheppard Air Force Base, Certainteed, Helen Farabee, Olan Mills, North Texas Rehab and Travelodge. Many of those friendships spanned decades.
She loved God and enjoyed attending Evangel Church and fellowshipping with the congregation. Her ministry was making pocket crosses and Jesus magnets and giving them to all her friends and people she met. Her pocket crosses even made it across seas to our military troops who were deployed to give them hope and encouragement.
She enjoyed shopping and going to eat with her friends.
Beverly loved her family dearly and was blessed with 1 daughter, Kristi King, 3 grandchildren, Brittany Honeycutt and husband Milton, Trace King and wife Brandi, and Malika Miracle and husband Chance, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her long time best friend, Diana Hillen, who so faithfully and selflessly helped her and encouraged her over the last several years. The family would also like to give special thanks to Hospice of Wichita Falls who took such great care of her the last couple of months and several of her nurses, Megan, Ellen and Jan who became family.
She was dearly loved and will be missed greatly.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 27 at 1PM, in the Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel. Graveside to follow at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park.
