Such a gracious, loving woman. I first met Fern in 1968 and became family in 1970. (She was my husband’s cousin). Fern played the organ for our wedding and Thomas was our ring bearer. I remember I asked Fern if she would play for us and she agreed. She didn’t know the song, but learned it. “A Time for Us” which was the theme song for the Romeo and Juliette movie that had come out earlier. She did a wonderful job. I loved her laughter. We will miss you Fern. Our prayers for Thomas and the family.

I grew up at Jefferson St. Baptist Church. I have fond memories of Fern playing the piano and/or organ as Bill Rodgers led the music. I praise God for her faithfulness!
