Bobby Allen Broyles

Bobby was the son of Howard and Juanita Broyles of Wichita Falls, Texas, and had one beloved older brother, Bill H. Broyles, who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Midwestern State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed on the beautiful atoll of Midway Island. After his time with the Navy, he worked as a General Manager for Sears Roebuck Co. in Galveston, Texas. His work led him to Paris, Texas, Orange, Texas, and eventually to Fort Worth, Texas, where he remained for the majority of his life.

He wed LaRue Bowers of Temple, Okla., in 1958, and at the time of his death the two had enjoyed 64 years of loving marriage.

Bobby is survived by his adored wife, as well as two adult daughters and their families; Jennifer and Scott Saunders and Susan and Jack Fulcher III; one niece, Cindy Wood; one nephew, Bill A. Broyles; and three bright and loving grandchildren, Cassidy Saunders (age 26), Olivia Fulcher (age 19), and Jack Fulcher IV (age 24).

Bobby lived to proudly see his grandson follow in his patriotic footsteps and join the U.S. Navy in 2019.

He was an entertaining man with a witty sense of humor and many interests, and had numerous lifelong friends who he treasured. He took adoring care of his wife after retirement, and loved his family dearly.

Bobby will be laid to rest with his brother and his wife, his parents & grandparents at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park in his hometown of Wichita Falls on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
