

Bobby Kent Kafer, 70, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Born November 13, 1955, in Waurika, Oklahoma, Bobby Kent was the son of Bob Vernell and Alta Fern Kafer. He graduated from Rider High School in 1974.
Before retiring, Bobby Kent worked as a Journeyman Electrician in new construction. Through years of steady effort and dependable work, he built a life defined by responsibility and a strong commitment to doing the job right.
Bobby Kent fought illness for a long period of time, meeting that season with endurance and resolve.
Away from work, he found joy on the open road—riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with friends, embracing the simple freedom of the ride and the fun of shared adventures.
Bobby Kent was preceded in death by his parents, father, Bob Kafer and mother, Alta Hancock and husband Fred Hancock; brother, Billy Wayne Kafer; half-brother, Joe Bob Kafer; and stepbrothers, Bobby Hancock and Donnie Hancock.
He leaves behind sisters, Katherine Jean Currie and husband Thomas, Stacy Gowen and husband James; nieces and nephew, Kayla Kafer, Zackery Gowen and Finn (Haylee) Gowen; and numerous cousins.
