Brice Cody Ressell

Cody was born January 26, 1972 in Wichita Falls, TX to Philip Wayne Ressell and Linda Kay Ressell (née Nix). He is remembered as a talented musician and performer, playing with bands in Wichita Falls throughout the 90’s. In 2000 he married and opened Three Dog Books with his then wife, under the tutelage and friendship of the author/bookseller Larry McMurtry. He then went on to found and co-own Alley Cat Vintage from 2009-2020.

He was soft spoken, intelligent, witty, as well as incredibly kind, imaginative and creative like his mother. He was an animal lover with a huge heart and a devoted, loving father to his daughter, Ruby. He enjoyed traveling, the family cabin in Colorado being his favorite destination.

He is survived and greatly missed by his Daughter Ruby McNew and Son in Law Gregory McNew, Father Philip Wayne Ressell and Step Mother Wanda Ressell, Step Brother Robert Partridge, Step Sister Renea Jones, Nephew Justin Sobczak and his Former Wife Julie Sobczak, as well as by the many he knew through his music and work.

Cody was preceded in death by his Mother Linda Kay Ressell, Brother Clay Barrett Ressell, and Grandparents A.L. Ressell and Beatrice, JR and Mary Lee Nix.

A graveside service for Brice will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302.
