Carol Jean Bowman, 56, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Western Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Moye, Pastor, officiating. Graveside Services will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
Carol was born March 31, 1954 in Wichita Falls, to Billy and Peggy Jean (Edgemon) Bowman. She was a lifetime resident of Wichita Falls who worked for Whitmire & Whitmire Inc. for 9 years, where she worked in Customer Service. She was a member of Fairway Baptist Church and loved entertaining guests. She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Bowman; and her grandparents, Horace and Jennie Bowman, and James K. and Bernice Edgemon.
Surviving relatives include her mother, Peggy Bowman; one sister, Cathy Ritter and her husband, Thomas, all of Wichita Falls; one nephew, Cody Reynolds and his wife, Jill of Milford, TX; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the charity of choice.
