

Charles Wade, 69, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, August 24, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Pastor James Keenum officiating. Interment will follow in Veterans II Garden of Crestview Memorial Park under the auspices of the U. S. Army Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on both Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home.
Mr. Wade was born June 3, 1946 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Stanley Wade and Bernice (Stanley) Wade. He worked on the family farm at a young age until joining the U. S. Army where he served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He married Mary L. Castro on October 26, 1979 in Duncan, OK. Charles graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Cameron University in Lawton and went on to work for PPG in Wichita Falls as an electronics technician, retiring in 2007 after 34 years of service. He had a strong relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and attended the Assembly of God Church of Byers, TX. Charles was very devoted to his children and supportive of his whole family. He enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea, and also had a passion for blue grass music.
Charles is survived by his wife, Mary L. Wade of Wichita Falls; daughter, Erika Del Rio and husband John of Wichita Falls; son, Daniel Bagby of Albany, TX; sisters, Mary Schimmels, Virginia Gore, Patricia Dill, Frances Gray and Nancy Atre, all of Duncan, OK; grandchildren, Johnathan Wade, Aleesha Perry, Noah Bagby, Danielle Bagby and Ashley Del Rio; great grandchildren, Jayden Perry, Eleeana Perry and Adalei Wade.
