Charlotte Z Ferris

share with you that Charlotte Ferris, our mother, grandmother, great

grandmother, wife, mother to others, and great friend to all, has passed into

the next world to be with her God, her husband, Darrell, her long gone

parents, her sister, Norma, and relatives and friends that have gone on

before.

Charlotte Ferris was born on September, 1932 in southern Colorado. She

passed away in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 5, 2021 after 88 rip-roaring

years of life. She grew up on the D&RG narrow gauge railroad lines of

southwest Colorado and northern New Mexico as a child before moving to

Denver, where she met and married Darrell Ferris, and began running a family

in Wyoming and Texas.

She lived through blizzards, tornadoes, drought, car and truck accidents,

raised two sons - Darrell and Scott, and enjoyed life with two

daughter-in-laws - Karen and Kim, three grandsons - Scottie, Dusty and

Garrett, two great grandsons - Gannon and Landry, and three, count 'em,

three great granddaughters - Tayghan, Abigail and Charlie. Her life ended

with her family by her side. She loved to fish, watch ice skating and

hanging out with family. Family was the Most Important thing for her and she moved mountains and oceans to make sure we had a family. She liked some

types of adventure, like balloon and train rides and she kept tabs on

everyone and always knew what we (and our friends) were doing.

She was the Best Mom and is already greatly missed.

Mom's memorial service will be Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00am, at Hampton Vaughn Crestview Funeral Home amd Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, Texas 76302. Mom liked flowers or if desired, send contributions in her name to the Hospice of Wichita Falls.
