Christy Ann Ostapchuk ( October 5, 1960- November 11, 2023) has passed from this earth into the loving arms of her Father. Cris was the third daughter born to Waunda Robison and Peter Ostapchuk in Wichita Falls, Texas. She attended Cunningham, McNiel, Rider, and Notre Dame schools. Cris was an amazing pitcher, claiming several fast pitch no-hitters during elementary school days, then continued her love of softball into high school and beyond. She also loved to play pool, having learned from her equally talented Father when she was a young girl.
Cris loved dogs and a favorite family memory is how she would ride her bike around the neighborhood with dogs following her home. It was not unusual to see ten or more dogs lying in her front yard waiting for her to come outside to play.
She was a die-hard fan of the Sooners and Dallas Cowboys, and was very proud of Sooners playing in the NFL.
Cris was preceded in death by her beloved Father, Peter Ostapchuk, her Grandparents Harvey and Jessie Mae Robison of Wichita Falls, and Grandparents Peter and Kataryna Ostapchuk of New Britain, Connecticut, as well as her stepfather, Henry Baltine. She leaves behind her Mother, Waunda, her sister Susan Beck (John), Carissa Maag Collins ( Brian), and Lesha Maag, all of Norman, Oklahoma. Also her sister Cynthia Fullarton (Michael), niece Erin Fullarton Allen (Scott) and nephew Brian Fullarton, of Richmond, Texas. Her great nephews and nieces Cooper, Mia, Aubrey, and Nolan brought her so much joy.
Cris was one of a kind, and will be missed by all who knew her
A graveside service for Christy will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas.
