Claudia Aline Barrett

Claudia Aline Barrett, 88, of Wichita Falls passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rex Donley officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barrett was born October 24, 1922 in Fort Towson, OK to the late Joseph Julian Snelgrove and Thelma (Davis) Snelgrove. She was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls and a member of the Baptist Church. She married James W. Barrett here in Wichita Falls and he preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Barrett worked for the Levi Strauss Company for over 35 years in Wichita Falls and Tyler, TX before retiring.

She is survived by her children, Linda and Don Smith of Dallas,TX, Nancy and Leon Cotton of Bertram, TX, Jean and Dennis Opferman of Wichita Falls and Joe and Mary Barrett, also of Wichita Falls; nephews, Guy Snelgrove and Mark Snelgrove , both of Orange, TX; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were brothers, W. H. Snelgrove and W. E. Snelgrove.

The family will be at 2524 Terrace, Wichita Falls all day Saturday to receive guests who would like to visit.
