

Born on March 4, 1956, in Wichita Falls, TX, to Arnold and Guadalupe Gomez, who preceded her in death, Dalila was deeply rooted in her hometown. She spent her early years in Wichita Falls before moving to Brownsville, TX, where she graduated from Brownsville High School in 1974. Dalila pursued her passion for nursing, earning her Licensed Vocational Nursing degree from Texas Southmost College in 1978. In 1979, she returned to Wichita Falls, TX, and later furthered her education, graduating from Midwestern State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Dalila's life was a testament to compassion and service. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she embodied kindness, always placing her family at the heart of everything she did. She was the cornerstone of family gatherings, organizing and hosting countless celebrations filled with love and joy. For over 45 years, Dalila devoted herself to nursing, providing exceptional care to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A woman of deep faith, Dalila was a dedicated follower of Christ and an active member of Turning Point of Grace. Her unwavering faith guided her life, and her generosity of spirit touched the hearts of everyone around her.
Dalila is survived by her devoted husband, Juan Manuel Garza; her two sons, Christopher Rey Garza (Felicia) and Michael Phillip Garza (Candace); her treasured grandchildren, Brayden Rey Garza, Elijah Manuel Garza, and Eliana Marie Garza, who affectionately knew her as “Nana”; and her dear siblings, Miza Smith, Arnold Gomez Jr., Ida Gomez, and Elida Vasquez.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 1917 Archer City Hwy, Wichita Falls, TX 76302. Funeral services will follow on Monday, September 16, 2024, 10:00 A.M. at the same location.
