

Dan Hibbs, 65, of Wichita Falls died Monday, October 18, 2010 at a local nursing home. Services have been scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Ron Redding. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
Dan was born May 27, 1945 in Wichita Falls to Lewis Nathan and Irene Effie Tucker Hibbs. He has lived in Wichita Falls most of his life except for about 20 years he spent in Downey, CA. He was very involved in ARC and People’s First. He participated in Special Olympics in bowling, and track and field. He was a member of a local Bowling League where he bowled with ARC. He was an Indian buff, especially anything concerning Geronimo, and he was Doris Day’s number one fan.
Mr. Hibbs is preceded in death by his father, Lewis Hibbs; and brother, Lee Roy Hibbs.
Survivors include his loving mother, Irene Hibbs of Wichita Falls; and uncles and aunts, Bobby and Pearl Tucker, Patsy and Marsey Jack Wilson of Wichita Falls.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, October 22, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
