David Edward Allard

David was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, but often said when he moved to Kingsland, Texas and met his soul mate, Johnell, he knew that he was home! He was an affectionate and loving husband, and an amazing father-by-choice to Mark Baldwin (who preceded him in death) and Debbie Watson and grandchildren David and Kendall Watson. They will carry him forever in their hearts.

He is survived by baby sister, Donna Halford and brother, Dan Allard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Gary Norville, Suzanne Srader, Mark and Rhonda Norville; Jimmy Allard and Mike Allard; Barry Perrault, Tom Perrault, Kendra Nash, Elaine Murrell; Adam Allard and Alesha Rogers. Additionally, he has from a previous marriage, David Edward Allard, Jr. and Linda Ruth Allard Parker and 11 grandchildren.

Throughout his career David worked as a piping, and CAD designer. In his retirement he enjoyed reading history, singing, listening to tenor voices, and studying the Bible. His family will fondly remember his beautiful renditions of “How Great Thou Art” and many other gospel favorites.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2:00 pm at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. A graveside service will follow.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Valerie Chaffee and her family for the loving care and support they gave to David and them during his last year of life.
