A funeral service for David will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel, 1917 Archer City Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas.
David was born April 13, 1958 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a proud Christian and member of several churches in north Texas over his life. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1976, where he was a member of the WFHS Coyote football team and excelled in track and field as a hurdler. He was a lifelong Coyote fan and would attend games whenever he could, including watching his son and the class of 2005 play baseball for Old High. David loved his grandchildren and would spend time with them whenever he could.
David was preceded in death by his parents; Joe and Linda Gattis; brothers, Steven Gattis and Michael Gattis.
He is survived by his son, Eric Gattis, daughter-in-law Whitney Gattis; grandson, Dawson Gattis and granddaughter, Madelyn Gattis.
