Delbert Ray McDonald

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022, at City of Hope Church in Wichita Falls, TX.

Burial will follow in Byers Cemetery under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home.

Delbert Ray was born June 25, 1957, in Wichita Falls to Delbert Lee and Betty (Whitten) McDonald. He worked as head groundskeeper for Floral Heights and Morning side park. He was an avid Motocross Racer and went by Wild Man McDonald. Motocross was a way of life and in his blood.

Delbert Ray inspired so many with his positive attitude and his love for life. He never met a stranger.

He was very open about his love for Jesus, and every chance he had, he would invite people to church.

Survivors include his mother, Betty McDonald; son, Dustin McDonald and wife Ashley; two sisters, Mary Ann Bagwill and Carolyn Morgan and husband James; brother, Jimmy McDonald and wife Melba; sister-in-law, Barbara McDonald; grandson, Harlan McDonald;

niece Dawn Thompson;

two nephews, Jacob Morgan and wife Kimbra, and Brandon McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Lee McDonald, and brother, James Lee McDonald.
