Edward Taylor Thompson

Eddie Taylor Thompson, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Wichita Falls, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughn Crestview Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on February 21, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Hampton Vaughan. The family has requested a private Graveside.

Eddie was born May 29, 1943 to Edward and Hilda (Jentsch) Thompson. He was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School. After graduation he worked as a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of University United Methodist Church.

Eddie was never without his baseball cap, radio, jeans, and cowboy boots. He was usually listening to country music and church services. He loved to draw and never forgot a birthday. One of his favorite things to do was simply drive around in his pickup truck, check on the cows, and stop at United to get coffee.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Thompson, and sister Glenda Ward.

Surviving family include niece Jennifer Spurgers and husband Jeff of Wichita Falls; nephew Brian Ward and wife Karen of Augusta, Georgia; nephew Joseph Thompson, niece Sarah Thompson, and great-niece Emily Spurgers, all of Wichita Falls.

The family would like to thank the staff at Advanced Rehab and Healthcare of Wichita Falls for the care given to Eddie.
