Ellen June Hamilton passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021, just 4 months shy of celebrating her 100th birthday. A private burial will take place Monday, February 22. A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday February 27, 2021, in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, Wichita Falls, TX.

This very elegant lady was born June 17, 1921 in Electra, TX to James Elijah Warden and Hannah Proud Warden. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 67 years, James Reece Hamilton; Sister Lettye Phyllis Clark, & Great Nephew James (Jimmy) Wm. Mathis.

Ellen June graduated from Electra High School, and attended John Tarleton College, Stephenville. She married her High School Sweetheart, J. R. (“Ham”) Hamilton on April 21, 1942, and moved to Vernon, TX, building their career in the office supply business. They owned and operated Hamilton Office Supply until retirement. After “Ham’s” death in 2009, “Ejie” moved to Presbyterian Manor in Wichita Falls, to be near family. As the disease of Dementia progressed, she changed her address to House of Hope until her death.
