

Emily Kadane, 84, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2025 at the Gables in Rolling Meadows. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on February 2, 1941 to the late Edward and Hannah Kadane.
She was known for her volunteer work with the Wichita Falls Symphony, Wild Bird Rescue, the Wichita Falls Humane Society, and the Riverbend Nature Center.
She had a love for animals and enjoyed long walks with her dog Rusty. While at the Gables she was cared for by Dr. Talbert and Krisla Darden. The nurses that served her well included Linda, Dawn, McKenzie and Amber. Special thanks to the nutrition unit and all that cared for Emily. The staff made the last two and a half years wonderful years for her. Amber Walker and Becky Rhodes also cared for Emily the last thirty years and were graceful servants and friends.
She is preceded in death by siblings George Kadane and Suzanne Kadane.
She is survived by her sisters Johanna George and Billie Kirby. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Kelly and Charles Akins, Les and Judy Little, Chris and David Wills, Jill Robertson and her husband Nick Bratcher. Also Brent Robertson, Lynn and Daniel Collier, Leigh and Scott Rhodes and nephews Bubba and Matt Kadane. Emily was also beloved by numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 13th 10:00 am at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Roger Deerinwater in the Chapel. Entombment will follow and Riverside Cemetery.
