Eva Mary Fortner

Eva Mary Fortner, 80, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 in Wichita Falls. She was born on April 20, 1936 in Rushden, Northamptonshire, England to the late Charles Denton and Ellen Dilley Denton. On November 28, 1953 she married Frank Junior Fortner in Rushden, England. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. Mrs. Fortner was a very giving person who enjoyed cooking for her entire family every Sunday for the past 40 years. Guests of family members were always welcome and she made it a point to always cook everyone’s favorites.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Junior Fortner of Wichita Falls; three children, Frank W. Fortner, Jean E. Loggie and Gayle S. Lenart and husband Willie, all of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, James Gibson and wife Vickie, Matthew Gibson and Alicia Eggleston; great grandchildren, Jude Swanson, Eli Gibson and Addie Gibson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean M. Hart in 1989 and a grandson, Shawn Alan Gibson in 2000.

Graveside services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Crestview Memorial Park with Tom Rodgers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
