With pride, he served in the U.S. Army and was a life time member of the Elks Lodge. He like to joke that he was a Rock n' Roller turned Holy Roller.
Fortunately, his battle with cancer was not too long. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on Christmas Eve of 2018. On the night of January 22, 2019, he passed peacefully in his home among family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frenando S. Garcia and Magdalina "Hellen" Garcia, His brothers Ishmael "Mayo" and Fernando "Junior" Garcia and his sister Mary Davis.
A devout Christian and loyal Cowboys fan, Zeke was loved by many. His light hearted and gentle spirit will be sorely missed.
