Frances Frerich Wachsmann , 87, is enjoying the presence of our Heavenly Father with deceased family and friends. She met him face to face on Thursday, September 22, 2011. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Hampton Vaughan’s chapel with Deacon Ray Wallace officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
She was born June 4, 1924, in DeQueen, AR, to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Frerich. She was 1 of 9 children. She married Anton John Wachsmann in 1946. She was a homemaker, accomplished seamstress, and gardener. She volunteered decades at St. Vincent Thrift Shop, as well as worked outside the home. She was on the board of Beginning Experience Support Group. She is a charter member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Dian Hoehne and spouse Pat, Adell Hanvey and spouse Steve, Terri Morris; 11 grandchildren: Lee Varelman, Erik Hoehne, Isaac and Harrison Hanvey, Daniel Lawler, Robin Papak, Rachel Wachsmann, Matt Wachsmann, Natalie, Kenny, and Valerie Morris; and 9 great-grandchildren Rand and Camlann Varelman, Dayton Williams, Luke and Jake Lawler, Sadie Wachsmann, Kadence, Kanyon and Keeton Parsley, and Riley Campbell; 2 brothers Anton and Andy Frerich, 2 sisters Vic Schlabs and Elizabeth Lane, 75 nieces and nephews, and numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Anton “Red” Wachsmann, son Fred Wachsmann, grandson Eric Varelman, great-grandson Jax Varelman, and 2 brothers August and Fred Frerich, 2 sisters Katy Stallcup and Tina Schlabs, and numerous inlaws.
