Gerald George Meyers

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 14th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4605 Cypress Ave. with Pastor Dale Snyder officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Meyers was born and raised in the Oklahoma City area to Albert and Bertha Meyers and worked with his parents as a farmer. Later, learning the trade of Orthotics at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, he worked at Bowman’s Orthotic Co. in Oklahoma City. In 1960, he purchased the Brace Co. in Lawton, Ok. and in 1966 purchased what is now Meyer’s Brace and Limb Co. here in Wichita Falls. Mr. Meyers was a ‘Certified Orthotist-Prosthetist’ and worked in the business for 50 years until his retirement in 1988.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edna M. Meyers; sons, H. Meyers of Anchorage, Ak., and R. Meyers of Holliday, Tx.; daughter, Anna Johnson of Oklahoma City; sisters, Martha Ward, Oklahoma City and Annie Ercole, Albuquerque, NM. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lester Meyers.
