To the Geer family , we are all saddened to hear of Harold (Junebug) passing.  We grew up with June on Rector St.  Our mothers were the best of friends.  We lived across the street and we had many happy fond memories growing up.

To the Geer family, I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Harold.  My family sends sympathies, prayers for your peace and comfort by our Heavenly Father.  The Geer family was very close to our family throughout my childhood.  I have very fond memories of Ms Frances and company!  The memories are fond indeed.  May God bless and keep you all. Harold and I were friends during our early years (3 or 4 years old). We attended the same church throughout our childhood. We participated in church and school activities from  elementary through high school and graduated the same year. We were probably in the 6 or 7th grade though we had a crush on each other. Our commitment to the relationship consisted of extensive phone calls every evening after school. We never went anywhere together but we sure spent hours on the phone talking about "God only knows what." 
My sincere sympathy to the family.   RIP my dear friend. Fond memories of  growing up in Asheville will never be forgotten.
