I loved working with Harold, or as I called him "Weird Harold"  We had allot of fun, there will never be anything like working in Law Enforcement in the 70's and 80's.  He will be sorely missed.  Prayers go out to his family.

I was honored that Harold considered me a close friend. We faced a lot together. Good times. Bad times. I knew I could always count on my friend for backup, advice, encouragement, and a good laugh. Sometimes you know a person who would put it all on the line for you if you were jammed up. That was Harold. I will miss my friend. My love and prayers to his beloved Kathy and the kids. Goodbye for now my brother and my brother in Christ.

I met Harry in 1967, both of us in Army. We were both going through K-9 training at Lackland Air Force base. After training ,Someone saw the wisdom of putting us together for the remaining two and a half years. We did duty in S. Florida and S. Korea.  He was my friend, a hell of a dog handler and soldier. He became my brother. RIP Harry. Gonna miss you, brother.

Harold was a good friend and a great partner as we shared many, many nights working together.  He was a hard worker, a go-getter and a damn fine police officer!  I think of him, his character, his opossum and the times we shared often.  He will be missed.

I can’t express the sadness that I am feeling, I have known Harold 47 years, he was a good friend, teacher and someone you could talk to for good advice. We worked together has officers, for the WFPD. Assigned with the Tach unit, and has patrol partners. Learned a lot of being a better officer from him, he had a great work ethic and a sense of humor that made you laugh, even during the worst of times. I will always love my brother, in blue. My thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and their children and grandkids. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Our prayers go out to the Wells family. I worked with Harold at WFPD back in the 80’s. Loved his humor and willingness to always help. RIP My Brother in Blue!

Damn . . . . that's the best way that I can describe my feelings when Marquita called and told me that Harold had passed away.  That's the last of the Wells boys . . . Bob, Ronnie and now Harold.  We all grew up on Polk Street and life was very good back in those days.  Ronnie always wanted to be a cowboy and Harold wanted to be in the army.  Ha, me, Harold and Roy Bartlett played a lot of army as young kids!  After the Wells moved over on Jones street, that was like my second home.  And as we got older, Harold and I spent a lot of time fishing and hunting.  And a lot of time over at Cindy Whittington's house after school watching TV.  Those were the Good Old Days!

I am deeply sorry to hear about the loss of Harold. May you find strength, peace, and comfort in the days ahead, and may the love you shared bring light through this difficult time. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Leesa Wachsman
