Helen C Stayton

Helen graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She retired from Health South in 2013 where she worked in the physical therapy department. Her passion was reading, crafts, sewing, and lending a helping hand in any way she could. Her whole world lit up when her grandchildren or great-grandchildren came to see her. She always wanted to have fun and create as many memories as she could with them. Time and time again anyone who knew her always said the same thing, “I love your mother so much. She is absolutely the cutest little thing and a little spitfire.” She truly was a woman that if you knew her, you would never forget! We all feel blessed to have had such a beautiful social butterfly always full of life and energy in our life. We will always remember you.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stayton; son, Larry Ashbrook; parents, Maline and Norman Gilbert; brothers, Norman Cecil Gilbert and Wallace Doyle Gilbert; grandson, Raymond Minter; sister-in-laws, Polly, Pat, and Nina Gilbert; and nephew Bobby Earl Gilbert.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Robin Bledsoe and husband Jimmy; son, Danny Ashbrook; step-daughter, Kimberly Minter; grandchildren, Brady Bledsoe and wife Talor, Ethan Bledsoe and wife Erica, and Kendra Philips and husband Brian; and 11 great grandchildren, Hayzlee Bledsoe, Ava Bledsoe, Kian Bledsoe, Madelynn Bledsoe, Lucas Bledsoe, Emma Bledsoe, Jaxon Bledsoe, Khloe Bledsoe, Houston Philips, Trip Claiborne, and Emma Philips.
