Those closest to Hilda knew the simple joys that brought her genuine happiness. She loved plants of all types and had a true green thumb, tending to them with patience and care. She also enjoyed shopping, and she especially delighted in conversation—always ready to talk, to listen, and to make a new friend along the way.

She is survived by her husband, Ruben Mora; sons, william Valdez and wife Jolea Johnson, and David Valdez; daughter, Crystal Valdez and husband Lenord Skinner; sisters, Olga Leticia, Diana Lubella, and Idalia Salinas Ramos; brothers, Jorge Alberto, Israel, and Jesus Daniel Salinas Ramos; grandchildren, Israel and Daniella Valdez, Jesus Cardenas, Joseph, Lenord Jr., Amiliea, and Ailianna Skinner, Lewis, Kiley, and Kehlani Valdez, Angelica Lange, Veronica Valdez, and Mya DeMoss; and great-grandchildren, Kaden Valdez, Anais Sepulveda, Fenix Lange, and Adonis Castillo.
