James David Daniel, age 49, of Denton, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 after a short illness. He was born to James Larry Daniel and Kay Maroney Daniel in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Plano. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and taught autistic children in public and private schools. He loved the music scene in Denton and playing his guitar with his friends and family. Above all else his main focus in life was the wellbeing of his son and his mom.
David is survived by his son, Jonah Daniel of Austin, Texas, mother, Kay Daniel of Denton, Texas, sister, Krista Daniel Rakovan of The Colony, nephew, Cal Rakovan of Austin, Texas, and Kayla Rakovan of Lubbock, Texas. David is preceded in death by his farther James Larry Daniel.
A memorial service for James will be held Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The Lodge at Austin Ranch, 6101 Saintsbury Dr, The Colony, TX 75056.
