Joe Bob Agnew

Joe Bob Agnew, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Wichita Falls. He was born on April 24, 1931 in Frederick, OK to the late Ozy Agnew and Willie Berry Agnew. On March 10, 1950 he married LaWanda Mae Monroe. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2005. Mr. Agnew was an avid volunteer in the Special Olympics and volunteered at the T. K. Bruner Ranch in Sunset, TX. He is survived by three sons, Rodney Agnew of Wichita Falls, Randy Agnew and wife Kim of Colorado Springs, CO and Ricky Agnew and wife Teresa of Talpa, TX; grandchildren, Robin McGrath and husband Jason, Richard Boren and wife Monica, Bobbie Ferguson and husband Jason, Sandra Hollingsworth and husband Joey, Michael Boren and wife Monica and Tiffany Boren; great grandchild, Jacob McGrath and numerous other great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Kenneth Monroe and nephews, Steve Monroe and Larry Monroe. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Chevy Joe Agnew. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Sunset, TX. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday evening at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Ricky,Randy and Rodney, I just came across Joe Bob's obituary. I have fond memories of your family. He loved you boys so much and was always so genuine and fun. I'm sorry we lost touch along the way. Cindy Berry Wilson, Amarillo TX, your second cousin, JD's daughter, I'm on FB if you ever want to contact me. I have four sons and 15 grandsons and one granddaughter. So sorry for your loss.

Ricky, Randy and Rodney: We always enjoyed visiting with everyone when the Park Springs Labor Day event took place. Bob and Wanda were always generous with their time and money and we all just had a fun time. He is definitly in a better place now and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. By the way Granny Chadwick is still here.
