Joe De La Cruz

Joe De La Cruz, 85, of Wichita Falls, went to heaven, Thursday, July 28, 2022. He was born September 14, 1936, in Gonzales, TX, to the late Felix and Teodora De La Cruz. Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Rita and his 11 brothers and sisters. He was the youngest of his siblings. Joe married Rita Garza on November 3, 1956, in Kerrville, TX. They were married 57 years at the time of her death. He worked and retired from PPG. He liked scratching lottery tickets and going to the casino. He loved golf and was a big Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to reminisce about old times. He loved his family and will be missed. He is survived by daughters, Elisa Burks and husband Jay of Granbury, TX, Diana King and husband Robbie, Joanna D. Hernandez and husband Anthony and son Mario De La Cruz and wife Anna, all of Wichita Falls, 6 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Thank you to the nurses at United Regional on the 7th floor, Emily and James. Dad said you guys gave him the best care during his short time there. Our family was there and saw the care you gave him.
