Joey Dickerson

Joey Dickerson, 57, of Iowa Park, TX and formerly of Mustang, OK died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at his home. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park officiated by Buddy Hunter. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Joey was born February 21, 1954 in Fort Worth, TX to Bill and June Dickerson. He served our country In the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He married Pamela Rae Armstrong March 7, 1978 in Iowa Park and together they raised one daughter. Joey was an active member of Faith Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher since 1992. He loved his horses and he loved to go hunting. Everyone Joey knew he loved like family and his daddy was his hero.

Joey is preceded in death by his mother, June Dickerson in 1988; and step-mothers, Margie Dickerson and Patty Dickerson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Pam Dickerson; devoted daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Scott Boyd of Houston; father, Bill Dickerson of Iowa Park; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Bill Kinnamon of Ft. Worth, TX, Jeanna and Mike Martin of Irving, TX, brother and sister-in-law, Eddy and Sandy Dickerson of Iowa Park; and six nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, TX.

If desired, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Pancreatic Research.
